“Under the able direction of Emerson A. Kington, the gospel song play is currently being performed at the highest level possible…”
– The Bay State Banner, 2013
Black Nativity is a beloved Boston holiday tradition celebrating community and spirituality. Created by NCAAA founder Elma Lewis and original Musical Director John Andrew Ross this production has received rave reviews for the high standard in its production and direction.
For a period of years the show struggled to find a home, which presented production challenges in spaces such as Tremont Temple Baptist Church and Northeastern University. However high production values were consistently maintained to allow the immensely talented singers and actors raise the roof and attract packed houses throughout its multi-show run. ekTEK managed every facet of the production from detailed stage-management plans to astute budget management.
ekTEK was very proud to have managed this wonderful production for 20 years through times of instability and was delighted to leave the production on a strong footing, allowing it to grow in the future.
