“Under the able direction of Emerson A. Kington, the gospel song play is currently being performed at the highest level possible” – Bay State Banner

ekTEK was started by Boston University graduate Emerson Kington. A highly technical thinker, Kington, who is a former dancer, started his career at Gillette Company in Boston as an engineer. Driven by his love for the arts, Kington assumed a career change and started a production company to work on a diverse portfolio of projects in the New England area.

Kington’s mission is simple: that great art deserves superb presentation. Over a period of 20 years, ekTEK built a reputation for reliability, flexibility and a strive for excellence on multiple platforms by using the most skilled production personnel in the area. The company’s excellent working relationships with permitting bodies in the city made it a popular choice for outdoor events in non-traditional event locations.

ekTEK’s production portfolio includes some of Boston’s most iconic events such as the Boston Local Food Festival, the inaugural Boston Arts Festival, Boston Landmark’s Orchestra at the Hatch Shell, First Night Boston and Black Nativity. The company has produced events in non-event specific outdoor environments and in the great performance spaces such as Symphony Hall.
